Get TEFL certified and Volunteer Teach
Dunham Institute helps the local public elementary schools by providing qualified volunteer English teachers.  All the students that are part of our Volunteer Teach program are from low income families, without possibilities of enrolling in an extracurricular English course.
We have several options for volunteer teaching upon completion of our TEFL certification course.

Option one:

• Requires an 8 week commitment:   4 weeks for the TEFL course and 4 weeks of volunteer teaching.
• Includes homestay with a local family, but does not included meals.  You have access to kitchen facilities to cook for yourself.
• You will teach at least 2 hours a day in an elementary school setting upon successful completion of the TEFL course, minimum 4 week commitment.
• All teaching locations are with in walking distance of homestay and Dunham Institute.
• Total cost of program $1,850.00 USD.

Option two: 

• Requires an 8 week commitment:   4 weeks for the TEFL course and 4 weeks of volunteer teaching.
• Includes homestay with a local family, but does not included meals.  You have access to kitchen facilities to cook for yourself.
• Upon successful completion of the TEFL course, you will receive 2 hours of Spanish lessons a day for the remainder 4 weeks.
• You will teach at least 2 hours a day in an elementary school setting upon successful completion of the TEFL course, minimum 4 week commitment.
• All teaching locations are with in walking distance of homestay and Dunham Institute.
• Total cost of program $2,300.00 USD.

Payment in full for the TEFL course and Volunteer teach programs must be received prior to arrival.
